Wine and Alcohol Beverage Export Data of Four Month

According to National Wine Agency data, in January-April 2017, 18,4 mil. bottles  of wine have been exported  from Georgia to 39  countries worldwide, that is 59% higher than the similar data of the last year. In the period under review, 41,4 mil. USD worth of wine have been exported, that is 54% higher than the similar data of the last year.

 “According to  January-April of this year, wine and other alcohol beverage export indicators have increased by 60% compared with the similar data of the last year.  In Georgian wine export growth issues, National Wine Agency and wine-making sector work  together. Export has progresses on  markets of  the EU countries, China, USA and  on traditional markets as well” - stated the head of National Wine Agency, Giorgi Samanishvili.         

 The first five of exporter countries is the fallowing: Russia  -11 076 205, China -2 391 981,Ukraine - 1 874 212, Poland - 814 882 and Kazakhstan - 602 407 bottles.

Export growth is remarkable in the following countries: China - 207% (2 391 981), France - 332% (65 040), Azerbaijan - 217% (42 264), Israel- 150% (65 490), Russia - 87% (11 076 205), Germany - 38% (145 168), Belarus - 37% (183 150), Ukraine - 26% (1 874 212), Poland - 19% (814 882), Latvia- 14% (400 190) and etc.

In addition, 4 325 298  bottles (o,5l) of brand have been exported to 14 countries  worldwide, that is 56% higher, than the similar data of 2016. Totally, 10,7 mil USD worth of brand have been exported, growth compared with the similar data of the last year is 67%.

In the period under review, 63 410 bottles of Chacha have been exported to 16 countries worldwide, the growth amounted 124%, income of Chacha export amounted 177,4 thousand USD, the growth compared with the similar indicator of the last year reached 96%.

 

 Totally, wine, brand, Chacha, wine material, brand in pour and brand alcohol export income in the period under review amounted 75,4  mil USD. The increase compared with the same period of the last year is 59%.
