Wine and Alcohol Beverage Export Data of 2016 Year
According to data of 2016 year, approximately 50 mil bottles (0.75l) of wine have been exported Georgia to 53 countries worldwide, that is 38% higher then the similar data of the last year.In the period under review 113.8 million USD worth of wine have been exported, that is 16% higher than the similar data of 2015.
Increase of export is notable on markets of countries of European Union, China, USA and other traditional markets:
Wine export increase in China amounted - 98% (5 299 149 bottles), Ukraine – 70% (5 811 050), Russia - 49% (27 222 076), Poland - 46% (2 329 820), Canada - 34% (210 936),Belorussia - 30% (1 174 362), UK - 28% (97 226), Estonia - 25% (631 632), Kirghizia - 24% (230 776), USA - 19% (294 382), Latvia - 19% (1 258 632), Japan - 15% (159 654), Germany - 6% (292 454), Czech - 353% (119 648) and etc.
The first five of exporter countries is the fallowing: Russia (27 222 076 ), Ukraine (5 811 050), China (5 299 149), Kazakhstan (3 393 435) and Poland (2 329 820).
In addition, in 2016, 10 367 886 bottles of brand has been exported to 17 countries of the world, that is 43% higher, than the similar data of 2015. Totally, 23,12 mil USD worth of brand has been exported, growth compared with the similar data of the last year is 24%.
The first five of the exported appellation wines are the following: “Kindzmarauli” – 7 417 333 bottles, „Mukuzani“ – 2 568 547, „Tsinandali“ – 2 023 915, „Akhasheni“ – 923 780 and „Khvanchkara“ – 413 823 bottles.
Totally, wine, brand, Chacha, wine material, brand in pour and brand alcohol export income in the period under review amounted 194,3 mil USD. The similar indicator of 2015 year was 146,5 mil USD, growth amounted 32%.
