The Book Written About Georgian Wine Was Recognized As The Best
The book by American wine writer Alice Feiring, “For the Love of Wine: My Odyssey Through the World\'s Most Ancient Wine Culture” written about Georgian wine culture became the winner of The Gourmand World Cookbook Awards in the following nomination - “Best Wine Book of The Year”.
Presentation of Alice Feiring book, “For the Love of Wine: My Odyssey Through the World\'s Most Ancient Wine Culture” was organized within the framework of international fair of natural wines - RAW New York in November of the current year and got great attention of wine professionals.
“Georgian wine is very well written, with deep insights for its values, challenges, and meaning for wine culture. Everyone who cares about wine will love this book”, stated Edouard Cointreau, President of the Jury - Gourmand World Cookbook Awards. The activity is organized within the framework of Frankfurt Book Fair.
In summer of the current year, fragments the book was published in New York Times magazine. The author mentions in his publication, that Georgia is the home of wine and the creator of high quality “amber-colored” wine and deservedly is proud of 8 thousand vintage history. “There is so much soul in Georgian wine, it is about pride, they are having trust in God, having trust in the vine, having trusts in the grape, having trust that everything will turn out well, so in many ways, Georgian wine is an expression of Georgian soul” - says the author, who visited Georgia in spring of the current year with the support of National Wine Agency.
