Georgian Wine - National Wine Agency

With LEPL National Wine Agency and National Intellectual Property Center of Georgia, “Sakpatenti” concerted efforts, wine  imitating Georgian wine of appellation was recalled one of the large-scale online-shopping  company “Agora” operating on Russian wine market.

In September 2016, National Wine Agency got information, that “Agora” (http://www.agora-group.ru/) sold Krasnodar wine imitating Georgian protected wines of appellation - “Khvanchkara” and “Kindzmarauli”. Particularly, on the label of the offered product was the note  „ХВАНЧМАРАУЛИ“.

As a result of  National Wine Agency and National Intellectual Property Center of Georgia, “Sakpatenti” concerted efforts,  imitated “Khvanchkara” and “Kindzmarauli” labeled Georgian protected wines of appellation are recalled online-marketing of the company. 

“The role of the fact, that in 2016,  Georgian wines of appellation -  “Khvanchkara” and “Kindzmarauli” were registered by “Sakpatenti” in the name of LEPL National Wine Agency in Russian Federation was important. National Wine Agency keeps working on international protection of Georgian wines of appellation” - stated deputy of National Wine Agency, Andro Aslanishvili.
