Georgian Wine Presented in the Kingdom of the Netherlands
With financial support from the National Wine Agency and organized by the Agency’s contracted company, Wijnimport Bleeker, Georgian wine was presented at the international gastronomic festival “Folie Culinaire” in Maastricht, the Kingdom of the Netherlands.
During the three-day event, thousands of guests - journalists, bloggers, wine consumers, importers and representatives of the HoReCa (hotel, café and restaurant) sector had the opportunity to taste around 50 wines in various styles from approximately 20 Georgian wine producers, made using both classical and qvevri winemaking methods.
The festival has been held since 2013 and traditionally attracts more than 5,000 visitors, making it an important platform for raising awareness of Georgian wine and increasing exports to the European wine market.
One of the National Wine Agency’s main areas of activity is promoting Georgian wine and raising its profile in international markets. Since 2013, as part of its efforts to promote Georgian wine and diversify export markets, the Agency has conducted targeted advertising and marketing campaigns in markets across the Americas, Europe and Southeast Asia.
