Georgian Wine - National Wine Agency

To support the growth of Georgian wine awareness and exports in the UK market, a Georgian wine tasting and presentation was held in the city of Bath. The event was organised by the National Wine Agency and its contractor, Swirl Wine Group. 
The event was attended by representatives of the media, the HORECA sector and retail chains. Guests had the opportunity to taste a variety of Georgian wines and learn about the history and traditions of Georgian winemaking, as well as modern production methods. 
The tasting and presentation were led by Fiona Beckett, a renowned UK-based food and wine pairing author, and Kate Hawkings, a Bristol-based journalist specialising in food, drink and travel. Her articles are published in leading publications, including the Financial Times, The Guardian, The Sunday Times, The Telegraph and Decanter. 
Fiona Beckett has worked in the field of wine for many years. She has served as wine columnist for The Guardian and as an editor at Decanter magazine. Her articles have also appeared in publications including The Times, the Daily Mail, BBC Good Food, National Geographic Traveller Food and Country Living. 
Bath is a historic city in South West England and is inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List. 
With financial support from the National Wine Agency, Swirl Wine Group is implementing the 2026 Georgian wine marketing campaign in the United Kingdom. As part of the campaign, Georgian wine tasting seminars are being held in various UK cities, Georgian wine is being showcased at international exhibitions, and targeted advertising and media campaigns are being carried out. Wine tours to Georgia are also being organised for British wine professionals. 
Notably, from January to August of this year, approximately 268,000 litres of Georgian wine were exported from Georgia to the United Kingdom, representing a 37% increase compared to the same period last year.
