During the current year, Georgian wine was showcased at nearly 140 events in 18 countries worldwide
With the financial and organizational support of the National Wine Agency, Georgian wine was represented at 24 international exhibitions and festivals in 11 countries during the first seven months of the current year. These events took place in Germany, China, France, Japan, Italy, Slovenia, Greece, the USA, Austria, the United Kingdom, and Belarus.
During the same period, 115 presentations and tastings of Georgian wine were organized across 11 countries. The host countries included Germany, Australia, the USA, Turkey, Norway, France, Belgium, Switzerland, South Korea, Poland, and the United Kingdom.
Under the state program promoting Georgian wine in the domestic market, 20 events, including masterclasses, exhibitions, festivals, competitions, and forums, were held in Georgia with financial support from the National Wine Agency.
During the reporting period, 12 wine tours were conducted in Georgia for foreign wine professionals, trade representatives, and media members.
To enhance the international recognition of Georgian wine and promote the country's centuries-old winemaking traditions, National Wine Day was established by the initiative of the National Wine Agency under the Ministry of Environmental Protection and Agriculture of Georgia and by decision of the Government of Georgia. It is celebrated annually on May 8.
Marketing activities of various formats in strategic and priority markets for Georgian wine are carried out by contractor companies of the National Wine Agency. The Agency continues to identify the USA, the United Kingdom, Germany, Poland, China, South Korea, and Japan as its strategic markets.
