Another Presentation of Georgian Wine Held in Paris
With the support of the National Wine Agency of Georgia and the Embassy of Georgia to the French Republic, a presentation and tasting of Georgian wine was held in Paris at the Michelin-starred restaurant Episode.
The presentation of Georgian wine was led by Ana Godabrelidze, Chairperson of the Tasting Commission of the National Wine Agency of Georgia, and wine and gastronomy expert Christophe Lavelle.
Invited guests, wine professionals, and representatives of the HoReCa and wine trade sectors had the opportunity to discover the diversity of Georgian wine, traditional winemaking methods, and the rich culture of Georgian viticulture and winemaking.
The event was attended by Irakli Kurashvili, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Georgia to the Republic of France, and Tamta Kvelaidze, Deputy Chairperson of the National Wine Agency.
The event marked the second presentation of Georgian wine held in France this week. A presentation and tasting was also hosted at the Ritz Paris.
Increasing the awareness of Georgian wine and promoting it on international markets remains one of the key priorities of the National Wine Agency of Georgia. Since 2013, the Agency has been actively implementing marketing and promotional campaigns in various countries, including France, renowned for its winemaking traditions, where demand for Georgian wine - particularly qvevri wine — has been steadily growing.
