International Wine Tours Held in Georgia as Part of National Wine Day
13.05.2026

Organized by the National Wine Agency, international wine tours were held in Georgia within the framework of National Wine Day for wine experts and media representatives from the United States, Germany, and Asian countries, including China, Singapore, and Hong Kong. Among the participants were Masters of Wine Debra Meiburg, Lisa Perrotti-Brown and Konstantin Baum.

The tour programme included visits to Georgia’s winemaking regions. Guests visited wine cellars and companies located in the regions of Imereti and Kakheti, where they learnt about traditional Georgian winemaking methods and tasted various types of Georgian wine.

As part of the visit, wine professionals and media representatives participated in a conference dedicated to National Wine Day, attended a Georgian wine tasting held at Gudiashvili Square, and also attended a gala concert dedicated to the occasion.

National Wine Day, celebrated annually on May 8, was established by the decision of the Government of Georgia at the initiative of the National Wine Agency. The initiative aims to promote Georgian wine and showcase, at the international level, the country’s centuries-old winemaking traditions, as one of the most significant elements of Georgia’s identity and cultural heritage.
