With the support of the National Wine Agency, four family-owned wine cellars participated in the “RAW Wine Tokyo” exhibition held in the capital of Japan, Tokyo.
The “RAW Wine” (The Artisan Wine Fair) exhibition brings together producers of high-quality natural, organic, and biodynamic wines. The exhibition is organized by renowned French Master of Wine Isabelle Legeron.
Visitors to the exhibition were introduced to the ancient traditions and culture of Georgian winemaking.
The Georgian producers also received support from the Embassy of Georgia in Japan in presenting their wines at the exhibition.
Japan is one of the strategic export markets for Georgian wine. With the support of the National Wine Agency, the first large-scale presentation of Georgian wine on the Japanese market was held in 2014. Since then, with state support, Georgian wine companies have continuously participated in prestigious international exhibitions such as Foodex Japan and Wine and Gourmet Japan. Presentations and tastings of Georgian wine are regularly held in various Japanese cities, while wine tours across all regions of Georgia are organized for Japanese wine professionals and media representatives.
