With the financial and organizational support of the National Wine Agency, 10 Georgian wine-producing companies participated in the Orange Wine Festival, an international festival of amber wines, held in the city of Izola, Republic of Slovenia.

The Orange Wine Festival was founded in 2012 and is held in various countries around the world throughout the year.

The exhibition was traditionally attended by professionals working in the wine industry, sommeliers, importers, distributors, HoReCa and media representatives. Tastings and discussions on the development opportunities and prospects of the global wine industry were held within the exhibition.

The participation of Georgian wine cellars in the international festival provides an opportunity for Georgian wine to be widely presented to consumers, international wine experts, and representatives of the wine trade.

The festival was attended by about 90 wine producers from the following countries: Georgia, Slovenia, Slovakia, Italy, Czech Republic, Croatia, Austria, Serbia, Hungary and Bulgaria.

Georgian entrepreneurs also received support from the Embassy of Georgia in the Republic of Slovenia.

It is worth noting that one of the National Wine Agency's main directions of activity is the promotion and awareness-raising of Georgian wine on international markets. As part of its promotion of Georgian wine, the agency is intensively implementing advertising and marketing campaigns in the USA, Europe, and Southeast Asian countries to diversify markets.
