Georgian Wine and Alcoholic Beverages Exports on the Rise in the First Quarter of 2026
In the first quarter of 2026, Georgia exported 17.3 million liters of wine to 51 countries worldwide, generating USD 53.2 million in revenue. Compared to the same period last year, export volume increased by 5%, while export value rose by 7%.
Among the strategic markets for Georgian wine, notable growth was recorded in Germany in the first quarter, where exports reached 375 thousand liters—an increase of 32% compared to the same period last year. Exports to the United Kingdom rose by 9% to 86 thousand liters, while shipments to the People’s Republic of China grew by 4%, totaling 831 thousand liters.
In the first quarter, alcoholic beverages were exported to 38 countries, totaling 7.6 million liters and generating USD 56.6 million in revenue. Overall export earnings increased by 3% compared to the same period last year.
