Georgian Wine Producers Participate in the International “China Food & Drinks Fair” Exhibition in the People’s Republic of China
With the financial and organizational support of the National Wine Agency, 24 Georgian wine-producing companies took part in the international wine and food exhibition “China Food & Drinks Fair,” held in Chengdu.
Within the framework of the three-day exhibition, representatives of Georgian wine companies conducted meetings with existing partners and prospective importers.
Last week, with the support of the National Wine Agency, Georgian wine producers also took part in the Fine Wine Hotel Exhibition. In addition, a Georgian wine tasting seminar, “Fine Wineseer,” was held, led by renowned wine master Fong Walker.
The China Food & Drinks Fair, held in China since 1955, is regarded as one of the country’s most significant exhibitions, annually bringing together thousands of wine producers and attracting up to one million visitors from around the world.
One of the key priorities of the National Wine Agency is the diversification of export markets for Georgian wine.
Enhancing the awareness and export potential of Georgian wine requires its large-scale presentation in strategic markets such as China, which ranks among the top five export destinations for Georgian wine, where a targeted marketing campaign has been actively implemented since 2013. With the support of the National Wine Agency, Georgian wine companies operating in the People’s Republic of China regularly participate in major international exhibitions, including the Fine Wine Hotel Exhibition, the China Food & Drinks Fair, the RAW Wine Shanghai, the Shanghai International Wine Challenge, and Interwine China, and others.
