The “Georgian Wine Forum” was held in Philadelphia.
With the support of the National Wine Agency of Georgia and organized by the U.S.-Georgia Business Council, the 9th Georgian Wine Forum was held in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
The two-day event, hosted at the University of Pennsylvania, included a scientific conference and a Georgian wine seminar-presentation. Invited guests had the opportunity to receive information about Georgia and its wine culture, as well as to taste Georgian wines.
Participants in the conference included Professor Stephen Batiuk from the University of Toronto, archaeologist Bill Schindler, as well as sommeliers and marketing specialists.
It is noteworthy that the Georgian Wine Forum traditionally includes a scientific conference, within the framework of which researchers and scholars from various countries present and discuss studies related to the culture and history of Georgian grapevine and wine.
The Georgian Wine Forum was first held in the United States in 2018 in Washington.
The United States represents a strategic market for Georgian wine. With the support of the National Wine Agency, various important events - including the Georgian Wine Forum - are organized to promote Georgian wine, increase its recognition, and support export growth.
