The minister of agriculture, Otar Danelia opened coordination staff of vintage 2016 in Telavi. The activity was attended by deputy minister of of agriculture, Levan Davitashvili, head of National Wine Agency, Giorgi Samanishvili and representatives of native government and wine producing companies.
The minister of agriculture spoke about the statement of winery and viticulture field and the importance of subsiding by the state. As Otar Danelia mentioned, considering the interest of viticulturist as well as the interests of winemakers.
\"This year, We expect for approximately 148-150 thousand tones of grapes industrial process, like the previous year. We don\'t expect for special difficulties during the vintage, the government is in total readiness to direct organized and trouble free vintage. Our aim is that no viticulturist will have left grapes undelivered. This year, by one hundred wine factories will receive grapes\",- stated Otar Danelia.
As the minister noted, physical persons will receive the state subsidy on the grapes delivered in wine companies which are registered in vintage coordination staffs in the following quantity:
Kakheti region
1 kg Rkatsiteli - 0,45 Gel
1 kg Kakhetian Green - 0,45 Gel
1 kg Saperavi - 0,20 Gel
Racha-Lechkhumi and Qvemo Kartli region
Mujuretuli/Aleksandrouli - 2 Gel
As the minister stated, this year for wine and alcohol beverage producing companies, lax agro-credits will be available for commercial development promotion purpose. For grape processing factories to buy grapes farmers, lax credit maximum amount is fixed 10 mil Gel, for no longer than 15 months period. For grape processing factories, who will buy grapes for brand alcohol production purpose, lax credit limit is 15 mil Gel with the maximum period of 3 years.
The coordination staff of vintage 2016 will be lead by the head of National Wine Agency, Giorgi Samanishvili. As the leader of the staff mentioned at the meeting, subsidy will be given directly to the viticulturists, just like the previous year.
As the head of National Wine Agency stated, the peasants will receive the value of the grape within 15 week days in \"Liberty Bank\" branch offices or service centers on the based of their identity cards. If the viticulturist is not able to sale grape will be received by the wine factories leasehold by the state.
\"Viticulturist will decide in which factories to deliver the grape and will have negotiations on the price, terms of payment and periods. The state does not interfere in the relationship of two private subjects and prices, the price is regulated by the market\",-stated Giorgi Samanishvili.
As the head of the staff noted, like the previous year, the coordination staff of vintage 2016 will be situated in Telavi, Hotel \"Alaznis Veli\" and will work 24/24 for active communication between state departments, industrialists and viticulturists.
