In 2026, the budget for the promotion of Georgian wine was set at 18 million GEL. The USA, Great Britain, Germany, Poland, China, South Korea, and Japan remain strategic markets.
"The National Wine Agency, together with the private sector, will work this year to make Georgian wine even more successful on the international stage. Along with strategic markets that are distinguished by wine culture and wine consumption, we will become more active in the Scandinavian and Benelux countries, Canada, Brazil, and India. Ultimately, as a result of the planned marketing activities, the positions of Georgian wine on international markets will be further strengthened," said Levan Mekhuzla, Chairman of the National Wine Agency.
The chairman of the Agency noted that approximately 100 million liters of wine are exported from Georgia annually; export prices are increasing.
"Wine and grape-based alcoholic beverages bring in more than half a billion dollars in revenue to the country, in total, from exports alone. Also noteworthy are sales on the domestic market and revenues from wine tourism. From last year's results, the diversification of markets and the growth of exports to the Chinese market are important," noted Levan Mekhuzla.
This year, various formats of events will be implemented in strategic and priority markets by the contractor companies of the National Wine Agency. With the support of the National Wine Agency, Georgian producers will participate in all important international wine and alcoholic beverage exhibitions, and media campaigns and consumer-focused activities will be strengthened.
