Georgian wine export figures to European countries are increasing
In 2025, 11.5 million liters of wine worth 38.7 million USD were exported from Georgia to about 30 European countries. Revenues from wine exports increased by 7% and volume by 2% compared to 2024.
Last year, the largest volume of Georgian wine was sold in Poland among European countries, where 6.8 million liters of wine were exported. Germany was in second place - 1.3 million liters, then Latvia - 1.2 million liters, Lithuania - 703.5 thousand liters, Great Britain - 327.7 thousand liters, Estonia 271 thousand liters, etc.
The growth in exports is notable in a country famous for its winemaking, such as France, where demand for Georgian wine, especially qvevri wine, is constantly growing: in 2025, about 133 thousand liters were exported; the increase compared to 2024 was 63%.
One of the main directions of the National Wine Agency's activities is the promotion and awareness-raising of Georgian wine in international markets. Among European countries, the strategic markets for Georgian wine are Great Britain, Germany and Poland, as well as the Scandinavian countries, where the agency implements advertising and marketing campaigns with the aim of diversifying markets. With the financial support of the National Wine Agency, Georgian wine companies participate in all important international wine and alcoholic beverage exhibitions in Europe.
