Another Series of Georgian Wine Tastings Held in the United States
With the support of the National Wine Agency of Georgia and organized by the partner American company CORUS SYSTEMS INC., Georgian wine tastings were held in the states of New York and Connecticut across eight major supermarket chains.
As part of each event, within designated promotional areas for wines in supermarkets and retail outlets, five types of Georgian wine from three different companies were presented for tasting.
Organized by CORUS SYSTEMS INC., more than 100 presentations of Georgian wine were held during the months of May, June, September, October, and November, with tastings continuing in December as well.
Events of this format are consumer-oriented and aim to diversify Georgian wine export markets and support sales growth.
In parallel with the tastings, over the past three months Georgian wine has been showcased at numerous events in the United States, including the large-scale Georgian wine tasting “Wines of Georgia Grand Tasting” (Los Angeles), the international wine festival “Karakterre” (New York), the international wine exhibition “Orange Glou Fair” (New York), the first Georgian amber wine festival “Amber Georgia” (New York), the international natural wine exhibition “RAW Wine NYC” (New York), the “San Diego Food + Wine Festival” (San Diego). In addition, an in-depth feature on Georgian wine was produced by one of the most popular wine shows in the United States, “V is for Vino.”
The United States represents one of the strategic export markets for Georgian wine. With the support of the National Wine Agency, targeted marketing activities carried out since 2013 have significantly contributed to increasing both the awareness and exports of Georgian wine in the U.S.
