With the financial and organizational support of the National Wine Agency of Georgia and the involvement of the Embassy of Georgia in the Republic of Finland, five Georgian wine-producing companies participated in the international wine and food exhibition “VIINI & RUOKA” held in Helsinki, the capital of the Republic of Finland.
For the promotion and market diversification of Georgian wine in the Scandinavian and Northern European countries, the National Wine Agency has implemented numerous significant marketing activities in recent years with financial support. Large-scale events have been organized in the Republic of Finland, the Kingdom of Sweden, the Kingdom of Denmark, and Iceland, resulting in a growing interest in Georgian wine across these countries.
The “VIINI & RUOKA” exhibition is considered one of the leading events in the field of winemaking in Finland and represents an excellent opportunity for Georgian producers to introduce their products directly to potential importers and establish new trade partnerships.
The exhibition brought together around 100 wine producers from the world’s leading winemaking countries and was traditionally attended by approximately 10,000 visitors.
The event was attended by the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Georgia to the Republic of Finland, Mr. Irakli Khutsurauli, and the Chargé d’Affaires of the Embassy, Mr. Levan Machavariani.
This year, Georgian wine was also presented in Finland at the historical “Finnish House of Nobility” in Helsinki, as part of the celebration of Georgia’s Independence Day.
With the financial and organizational support of the National Wine Agency, during the first nine months of 2025, Georgian wine was presented in about 20 countries at 21 exhibitions and festivals and at around 220 tasting and seminar events. In addition, 13 wine tours were held in Georgia with the participation of foreign wine professionals.
