As of October 23, 330,000 tons of grapes have been processed in the viticulture regions of Georgia, which already means that in 2025, the highest, record-breaking grape harvest of the last 30 years has been recorded. Across the country, 21,200 winegrower farmers have harvested the crop.
In Kakheti, a total of about 323 thousand tons of grapes have been processed. Of the grapes processed by wine companies, about 170 thousand tons are Rkatsiteli, about 134 thousand tons are Saperavi, and the rest are different varieties of grapes.
At this stage, active grape harvesting is underway in the Sagarejo municipality.
The harvest is underway in Lechkhumi, another important winemaking region. In Tsageri Municipality, the population is delivering grapes to wine companies without delay. Wine companies have received up to 112 tons of grapes. According to the forecast, this year's harvest in Tsageri will be around 1.4 thousand tons.
The harvest is over in Racha, where a record amount of up to 3,000 tons of grapes was fully collected.
