Hail-Affected Grape Growers Will Not Face Obstacles in Delivering Their Harvest
13.09.2025

In Kakheti, grapes damaged by hail will be accepted by the state-owned enterprise LLC Harvest Management Company. Starting today, the state company will purchase hail-affected wine grapes from growers at a rate of 1 GEL per kilogram.
Due to heavy rainfall and severe hail in the Telavi and Akhmeta municipalities, agricultural lands—including, according to preliminary data, up to 150 hectares of vineyards—have been damaged.
The Harvest Coordination Headquarters is operating 24/7. All resources have been mobilized to ensure that affected grape growers can store their harvest without interruption.
For information related to the harvest, individuals can contact the hotline of the Ministry of Environmental Protection and Agriculture at 1501, or the hotline of the Harvest Coordination Headquarters at 0322 193 283.
As of September 13, 27,000 tons of grapes have been processed by wine enterprises in the Kakheti region.
