In order to increase the export potential of Georgian wine and diversify markets, and with the financial and organizational support of the National Wine Agency, during the first six months of 2025, Georgian wine was showcased at 18 exhibitions/festivals and 137 tasting-seminars across 13 countries worldwide. These countries include Japan, the United States, Norway, France, Spain, Italy, South Korea, the United Kingdom, China, Finland, Armenia, Poland, and Belgium.
With the participation of foreign wine professionals, 8 wine tours were held in Georgia, during which Georgian wines were tasted on-site by Masters of Wine, experts, sommeliers, and representatives of the commercial sector from Germany, Japan, China, the United Kingdom, the United States, and other countries around the world.
It is also noteworthy that, within the framework of the State Program for the Promotion of Georgian Wine Products on the Local Market, various wine exhibitions, competitions, and festivals were held throughout Georgia. These events aim to promote Georgian wine, support the development of wine tourism potential, and enhance consumer wine culture. This year, 15 exhibitions/festivals and 4 tastings/competitions have taken place in Georgia.
The National Wine Agency continues to implement the state program for co-financing marketing expenses for companies exporting to various countries worldwide, excluding CIS and GUAM countries. Under this program, in 2025, a total of 692,969 GEL was allocated in the form of co-financing to nine Georgian wine-producing companies.
The above-mentioned activities are being carried out within the framework of the “State Program for the Promotion of Georgian Wine,” which has been allocated 17.4 million GEL this year — 1.4 million GEL more than the corresponding budget of the previous year.
