Georgian Wine Tastings Were Held in the States of New York and Connecticut
04.07.2025

With the support of the National Wine Agency and organized by the partner American company CORUS SYSTEMS INC., in the states of New York and Connecticut, a total of 16 Georgian wine tastings were held in June across eight of the largest supermarket chains.
Within the framework of each event, five varieties of Georgian wine from three different companies were presented for tasting. Additionally, a presentation was held about Georgia—as the cradle of wine and as a modern, developed winemaking country.
The goal of consumer-oriented events of this format is to diversify the export markets of Georgian wine and to promote the growth of sales.
The United States of America represents one of the strategic export markets for Georgian wine. Since 2013, targeted marketing activities implemented with the support of the National Wine Agency have significantly contributed to the increase of both awareness and exports of Georgian wine in the USA.
Within the framework of the marketing campaign, tasting-seminars are held in various cities across the USA for wine professionals and representatives of the wine trade sector. Georgian wine is regularly presented at international exhibitions. Additionally, wine tours to Georgia are organized for media representatives, sommeliers, and sales professionals, which significantly contributes to better awareness and promotion of Georgian wine on the American market.
