The “Shanghai International Wine Challenge” (SIWC) was attended by the Chairman of the National Wine Agency of Georgia, Levan Mekhuzla.
This 19th edition of the competition has been held annually since 2006, with the aim of showcasing the world’s highest-quality wines and deepening international trade and cultural ties within the Chinese market.
The SIWC represents a major platform for wine producers, enabling them to present their products to wine professionals, the media, and consumers. Award-winning wines receive extensive media coverage and gain broad recognition.
The competition is organized by the Shanghai Waigaoqiao Free Trade Zone. The panel of judges consists of around 80 wine professionals. Wines are evaluated through a blind tasting process, which ensures maximum objectivity and transparency. Award-winning wines are recognized in the following categories: Platinum, Gold, Silver, Trophy, and Popular Choice.
