With the support of the National Wine Agency and organized by the Agency’s contracted American marketing company, “Colangelo & Partners”, a variety of Georgian wines were presented at the prestigious “James Beard Foundation” event in Chicago, USA.
“The James Beard Foundation”, one of the most renowned and prestigious award ceremonies in the culinary industry across the United States, was held this year at the Chicago Opera House. The event celebrates outstanding achievements and innovations by chefs and restaurateurs, as well as successes in the food and beverage industry.
Awards for restaurants and chefs are presented in recognition of excellence in culinary arts as well as achievements in the food and beverage industry. The annual event has been held since 1986, aiming to promote the advancement and improvement of standards within the American restaurant industry.
The 2025 “James Beard Foundation” ceremony was attended by 1,500 guests, including representatives from the food and beverage industry as well as prestigious American media holdings.
Presentations and tastings of Georgian wine at events of this nature are crucial for promoting Georgian wine and subsequently increasing its demand in the United States market.
The United States is one of the strategic export markets for Georgian wine. With the support of the National Wine Agency, targeted marketing activities carried out since 2013 have significantly contributed to increasing the awareness and export of Georgian wine in the U.S. market.
