"Georgian Grand Tasting"
With the organization of the National Wine Agency and the agency's contractor, the Polish marketing company "People PR," a large-scale Georgian wine tasting "Georgian Grand Tasting" was held in Warsaw.
The event, which aims to promote Georgian wine and diversify export markets, was attended by Polish wine professionals, importers, representatives of the HORECA sector and the media. Products of various types from 24 Georgian wine producing companies were presented.
As part of the event, three Georgian wine masterclasses were held, led by German wine master Konstantin Baum and Ketevan Frangulaishvili, head of the Polish company "O-Lile".
The Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Georgia to the Republic of Poland, Diana Zhgenti, attended the exhibition. Georgian entrepreneurs also received support from the Embassy of Georgia in the Republic of Poland to present wine at the "Georgian Grand Tasting" during the tasting„ This is a very important event, and first of all, we must thank the National Wine Agency for such support of Georgian wine exports. The Polish market is very important for Georgian wine, it is a fairly large market, and there is also the possibility of exporting Georgian wine from Poland to the wider European market. One of the main priorities for the Embassy of Georgia is to promote the export of Georgian wine. Wine and Georgian cuisine occupy a special place in the establishment of relations between peoples, and the Embassy of Georgia is always ready to help any Georgian producer to present as many products as possible and introduce Georgia to the Polish consumer," the Ambassador said.
Anano Sheklashvili, a representative of the National Wine Agency, attended the event held in Warsaw. "This year, the capital of Poland is hosting a large-scale presentation of Georgian wine for the second time. This is the best opportunity for Georgian producers to meet Polish importers and distributors and, accordingly, increase sales in Poland, one of the important strategic markets for Georgian wine," said Anano Sheklashvili.
It is noteworthy that Poland is one of the strategic markets for Georgian wine, which has steadily established itself in the top five exporting countries of Georgian wine. The National Wine Agency has been cooperating with the Polish marketing company "People PR" on this market since 2022. During this period, a stable increase in the export of Georgian wine to the Polish market has been recorded. In 2024, Georgian wine exports to Poland amounted to 6.7 million liters, an increase of 12% compared to 2023.
