With the support of the National Wine Agency, three family-owned Georgian wineries participated in the RAW Wine Shanghai exhibition held in Shanghai, People's Republic of China.
The RAW Wine (The Artisan Wine Fair) exhibition brings together producers of high-quality natural, organic, and biodynamic wines. The event is organized by renowned French Master of Wine, Isabelle Legeron.
Visitors to the exhibition—including wine professionals, industry representatives, and consumers—had the opportunity to taste wines from Georgian wineries: Iora, Manavi Wines, and Baghdati Estate.
It is worth noting that China is one of the most prominent strategic markets for Georgian wine. Since 2013, an active marketing campaign has been underway to enhance the awareness and increase the export of Georgian wine in the country. China has firmly established itself among the top five export destinations for Georgian wine. According to data from January to April of the current year, 1.12 million liters of Georgian wine were exported to China—representing a 78% increase compared to the same period last year.
This year, Georgian family-owned wineries also participated in RAW Wine exhibitions held in Paris, Verona, and Tokyo.
