The "New Wine Festival" was held in Tbilisi.
As part of the state program to promote Georgian wine products on the local market, the "New Wine Festival" was held at Mtatsminda Park in Tbilisi.
The state program is being implemented for the second consecutive year by the National Wine Agency, in coordination with the Ministry of Environmental Protection and Agriculture of Georgia. Within the program's framework, wine exhibitions, competitions, and festivals are held throughout the country, which play a significant role in promoting Georgian wine, enhancing wine tourism potential, and developing wine consumption culture.
Since 2010, the “New Wine Festival” has been organized by the Wine Club, to promote traditional Georgian Qvevri wine, discover new grape varieties and wine cellars, raise the level of wine education in Georgia, and develop a wine consumption culture. This year, the festival featured nearly 170 wines from small, medium, and large producers, showcasing the 2024 harvest. As per tradition, the event opened with the Qvevri-opening ceremony.
It is noteworthy that the scale of the festival is growing every year, and it is traditionally attended by Georgian and international wine professionals and enthusiasts from Georgia and various countries around the world.
