A Georgian Wine Tasting Was Held in Norway
With the support of the National Wine Agency, a tasting of Georgian wines was held in the capital of Norway, Oslo, where various wine varieties from 14 Georgian wine-producing companies were presented.
The event was attended by local sommeliers, wine experts, media representatives, and members of the HoReCa sector.
This type of event significantly contributes to increasing the awareness of Georgian wine in the Scandinavian wine market.
One of the main areas of activity of the National Wine Agency is the promotion of Georgian wine in international markets. Within the framework of supporting the promotion of Georgian wine, since 2013, the agency has been implementing targeted advertising and marketing campaigns in the United States, as well as in European and Asian countries, with the aim of market diversification.
With the aim of promoting Georgian wine in Scandinavian countries, the National Wine Agency actively began implementing marketing activities in this market starting in 2022. From 2022 to 2024, several important events dedicated to the promotion of Georgian wine were held in Norway, Sweden, and Denmark. These included tasting-presentations and screenings of the scientific-documentary film "Georgia, the Cradle of Wine." Georgian wine companies also participated in international exhibitions such as “RAW WINE” (Copenhagen), Expovina (Zurich), and “Stockholm Food and Wine” (Stockholm).
