A marketing campaign for Georgian wine in Japan will be led by Master of Wine Kenichi Ohashi.
In 2025, the marketing and promotional activities for Georgian wine in Japan will be carried out by the company "Red Bridge," led by Japan's only Master of Wine, Kenichi Ohashi, with whom the National Wine Agency has been collaborating since 2017.
One of the key directions of the National Wine Agency's activities is the promotion and increasing awareness of Georgian wine in international markets. To diversify wine markets, the agency carries out targeted advertising and marketing campaigns in the United States, as well as in European and Asian countries.
Under the leadership of Master of Wine Kenichi Ohashi, Georgian wine tasting seminars will be held in various cities across Japan for wine professionals and commercial figures engaged in the wine trade. Additionally, tours to Georgia will be organized for Japanese wine professionals and media representatives.
Along with the People's Republic of China and the Republic of Korea, Japan is one of the strategic markets for Georgian wine in Asia. With the support of the National Wine Agency, the first large-scale presentation of Georgian wine in Japan took place in 2014.In the following years, also with the support of the National Wine Agency, Georgian wine companies participated in exhibitions such as "Foodex Japan," "Wine and Gourmet Japan," "RAW Wine Tokyo," and "ProWein Tokyo," as well as in local wine competitions and Georgian wine presentation and tasting events held in various cities across Japan
