Georgian wine presentation held in Tokyo, Japan
A presentation of Georgian wine took place in Tokyo, supported by the National Wine Agency and the international competition “SAKURA Japan Women's Wine Awards.” The event featured two segments: a tasting presentation of Georgian wine and a master class focused on pairing Georgian wine with Japanese cuisine.
The tasting session was conducted by Ana Godabrelidze, Chairperson of the Tasting Commission of the National Wine Agency, while the presentation was led by Tamta Kvelaidze, Head of the Agency's Marketing and Public Relations Department.
The event was graced by the presence of Teimuraz Lezhava, the Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of Georgia to Japan.
Both Ana Godabrelidze and Tamta Kvelaidze have been appointed as jury members for the “SAKURA Japan Women's Wine Awards,” which is taking place in Tokyo today.
This international competition is a significant event, taking place for the eleventh time. The jury consists of women engaged in the wine industry in Japan, including sommeliers, wine writers, and journalists.
Georgia's participation in such events will enhance the promotion and recognition of Georgian wine, not only within the key market of Japan but also throughout the broader Southeast Asian region.
