Georgian wine has been showcased at 24 international exhibitions, 13 festivals, and approximately 100 tasting events, with participation from around 200 Georgian wine companies. Presentations of Georgian wine took place in 20 countries globally, including the USA, Portugal, Finland, Denmark, Austria, Norway, Italy, the Netherlands, Japan, Poland, Germany, China, France, the United Kingdom, Belgium, Hungary, the Republic of Korea, Switzerland, Turkey, and Latvia.
The USA, the United Kingdom, Germany, Poland, the Baltic nations, China, South Korea, and Japan are identified as strategic markets for Georgian wine. In these regions, various promotional activities are organized by the contractor companies of the National Wine Agency to enhance the visibility of Georgian wine and boost its export potential.
In 2024, a series of wine exhibitions, competitions, tours, and festivals took place across Georgia, significantly contributing to the development of wine tourism and enhancing the local culture of wine consumption. Georgian wines were showcased at 54 events, which included 17 exhibitions and festivals, along with 15 tasting presentations. Additionally, 16 wine tours were organized featuring foreign wine professionals, alongside various competitions and a symposium.
The State Program for the Promotion of Georgian Wine, designed to diversify wine markets and enhance export potential, allocated a budget of 16 million GEL for the year 2024.
It is noteworthy that, based on operational data, Georgian wine exports experienced a 6% increase compared to 2023, reaching a total of 95 million liters.
