Georgian wine was showcased at the international "Orange Wine Festival" in Austria.
With the support of the National Wine Agency and the Embassy of Georgia to the Republic of Austria, approximately 30 Georgian wine-producing companies participated in the Orange Wine Festival held in Vienna, the capital of Austria.
The Orange Wine Festival is conducted multiple times annually in various countries globally. The participation of Georgian wineries in the festival offers a valuable opportunity for Georgian wine to be prominently showcased to consumers, international wine experts, and representatives of the wine trade.
This year, the festival showcased more than 350 wines from over 100 producers across 13 countries, including Georgia, Austria, the Czech Republic, France, Italy, Croatia, Hungary, Poland, Spain, Slovenia, Serbia, Slovakia, and the United Kingdom. The event was well-attended, with guests demonstrating a particular interest in Georgian wine.
The festival held in Vienna was attended by Alexander Maisuradze, the Chargé d'Affaires of Georgia to the Republic of Austria. It is important to highlight that one of the primary objectives of the National Wine Agency is to promote and increase awareness of Georgian wine in international markets. Since 2013, the agency has been actively conducting advertising and marketing campaigns in the United States, Europe, and Southeast Asian countries to diversify market reach for Georgian wine.
