Georgian wine was showcased in the United States at the international exhibition of the natural wines titled "RAW Wine".
With the support of the National Wine Agency and the Embassy of Georgia in the USA, eight Qvevri wine-producing companies participated in the international exhibition of natural wines, "RAW Wine 2024" (The Artisan Wine Fair), held in New York City.
The "RAW Wine" exhibition, organized by renowned French master of wine Isabelle Legeron, unites producers of high-quality natural and biodynamic wines from various countries around the globe.
The visitors who came to the exhibition had the opportunity to explore Georgian wines, as well as the ancient production traditions, wine culture, and history associated with them.
Traditionally, there has been significant interest in Georgian wine from both industry professionals and consumers.
Given the potential for identifying importers and enhancing exports, it is crucial to present Georgian wine in the USA, as America represents one of the strategic export markets for this product. The measures implemented since 2013, with the support of the National Wine Agency, have significantly contributed to the increased awareness and export of Georgian wine in the USA. From January to October of this year, over 1 million liters of wine were exported from Georgia to the USA, representing a 58% increase compared to the same period last year.
