The advertising campaign of Georgian wine is ongoing in the United States of America.
The National Wine Agency is actively pursuing a campaign to enhance awareness of Georgian wine in the United States. As part of this initiative, a slideshow of advertising banners for Georgian wine has been featured on the official website of the esteemed publication "The New York Times," which attracts an average of 100 million users each week.
The United States of America serves as a strategic market for Georgian wine. Since 2013, initiatives supported by the National Wine Agency have played a significantrole in enhancing the awareness and export of Georgian wine in the U.S. From January to October of this year, over 1 million liters of wine were exported from Georgia to the United States, reflecting a 58% increase compared to the same period last year.
As part of the campaign to promote and raise awareness of Georgian wine in the USA, American wine professionals and journalists visited Georgia in the autumn of this year. In New York City, advertising banners for Georgian wine were displayed on 25 billboards (lightboxes) over a two-week period. Additionally, a large-scale presentation of Georgian wine, titled "Grand Tasting," was successfully held in New York City. Ongoing collaboration with the esteemed American wine publication "Wine Enthusiast" and other media outlets continued to strengthen our efforts.
It is important to highlight that the advertising campaign launched in 2023, under the initiative of the National Wine Agency in collaboration with prominent media outlets such as CBS and CNN, resulted in a remarkable increase in sales of Georgian wine in the USA by the end of 2023 and throughout 2024.
