With the support of the Ministry of Environmental Protection and Agriculture and the National Wine Agency, the sixth consecutive wine festival was held in Gurjaani
Over 400 wine companies and wineries participated in the festival, showcasing a variety of wines, chacha, and other alcoholic beverages. The event was attended by Solomon Pavliashvili, Deputy Minister of Environmental Protection and Agriculture, and Zurab Vacharadze, Deputy Chairman of the National Wine Agency.
‘’The Gurjaani festival serves as an excellent platform for promoting Georgian wine and fostering the development of wine tourism. Such events contribute significantly to the growth of both production and awareness of Georgian wine; consequently, export indicators are also on the rise’’. - Solomon Pavliashvili noted.
The festival, held in Akhtala Park in Gurjaani, attracted a significant crowd this year. The Gurjaani Wine Festival, supported by the National Wine Agency, has been an official partner of the International Wine and Spirits Competition (IWSC) since 2022.
Festival guests had the opportunity to participate in wine and chacha tasting, Churchkela dipping, grape pressing, sports competitions, and various entertainment activities. IWSC gold medal-winning wines were showcased. An exhibition and sale of autumn offering and handicrafts was also organised.
In collaboration with the Ministry of Environmental Protection and Agriculture and the National Wine Agency, the Gurjaani Wine Festival is supported by the National Tourism Administration of Georgia, the Ministry of Culture and Sports of Georgia, the National Intellectual Property Center of Georgia ("Sakpatenti"), and various representatives from the private sector.
