20 companies showcased Georgian wine at the "Vinexpo America" exhibition in the USA
Georgian wine-producing companies showcased their products at the international exhibition of wine and alcoholic beverages, "Vinexpo America," in New York, with the financial and organizational backing of the National Wine Agency.
Participation in a large-scale international exhibition is an essential requirement for the diversification of wine markets and the promotion of export growth.
By participating in Vinexpo America, Georgian companies have the opportunity to learn about new trends and challenges in the world wine market, to find trade partners in the United States of America, which is a strategic market for Georgian wine and where wine quality standards are particularly high.
The Consul General of Georgia in New York, Maya Bartaya, attended the exhibition.
During the exhibition, Colangelo&Partners, an American company contracted by the National Wine Agency, organized Georgian wine tastings exclusively for local wine professionals.
It is worth noting that in recent years, the events organized with the support of the National Wine Agency have significantly contributed to raising awareness of Georgian wine in the USA, as evidenced by concrete results. From January to May of this year alone, a total of 486,000 liters of wine were exported from Georgia to the USA, representing a 66% increase compared to the previous year's figure. The United States ranks 6th among the list of countries exporting Georgian wine. It is worth noting that the United States of America represents one of the highest-priced markets for Georgian wine, with an average price of 6.15 USD per liter.
