Georgian Wine - National Wine Agency

To enhance the diversification of Georgian wine markets, a delegation of 17 Canadian wine professionals recently visited Georgia with the support of the National Wine Agency.
 As part of the visit, the guests had the opportunity to explore wine-producing companies and family wineries in Kakheti, as well as gain insight into the traditional method of Qvevri wine-making.  A wine tasting event featuring 20 distinguished companies was held exclusively for them in Tbilisi.
The members of the group are deeply committed to seeking new partnerships in Georgia, as this will significantly contribute to raising awareness and expanding the export of Georgian wine in the Canadian market. 
„This is my inaugural visit to Georgia, an exceptionally picturesque nation, renowned for its exceptional wines, particularly natural wines. The act of tasting the amber and Qvevri wines proved to be a truly exceptional and deeply moving encounter. We explored magnificent destinations and indulged in authentic local cuisine. Such a feast is truly extraordinary. Moreover, we had the pleasure of sampling some of the finest examples of amber wines globally’’,-  A  member of the group, sommelier Alex McMahon stated.
 One of the primary responsibilities of the National Wine Agency is to promote and enhance the recognition of Georgian wine in international markets. In line with this objective, the agency has been conducting focused advertising and marketing campaigns since 2013, with the aim of expanding market presence.
