09.05.2024

The annual natural wine festival, "ZERO COMPROMISE," is being held in Tbilisi under the organization of the Association "Natural Wine" and with the support of the LEPL ,,National Wine Agency’’.
Approximately 100 local and 25 international wineries from various countries, such as France, Italy, Spain, Austria, Japan, Australia, and Slovenia, will be taking part in the two-day festival.
The Chairman of the National Wine Agency, Levan Mekhuzla, acquainted himself with the products of the wineries participating in the festival.
„ In an effort to promote Georgian wine, numerous wine festivals, exhibitions, competitions, and events related to educational activities are organized throughout Georgia with the financial and organizational backing of the National Wine Agency. ,,ZERO COMPROMISE" is a significant festival during which numerous notable wineries showcase their own products. The festival aims to highlight the rich history, culture, traditions, and contemporary status of Georgian wine, enhance consumer awareness, and foster the growth of wine tourism’’.- Levan Mekhuzla stated.
The winegrower-winemakers participating in the festival refrain from using systemic preparations, mineral fertilizers, and herbicides in their vineyards. They produce wine without any industrial additives. The wine produced using this method is known as "natural wine," and the festival unites individuals who adhere to traditional winemaking practices. One of the primary objectives of the festival is to enhance the recognition of Georgian natural wine and facilitate its export expansion to global markets.  Based on the aforementioned information, wine importers, journalists, writers, and other industry professionals from various countries attend the festival annually. This provides an opportunity for representatives of Georgian wineries to present their wines directly to potential buyers.
Organized by the National Wine Agency, a delegation of 13 wine professionals from the American marketing company "Marq Energie Consulting" will be in attendance at the festival. In addition, within the framework of the festival, the famous American wine writer Alice Feiring will hold a seminar "Climate Crisis and Its Impact on Natural Wine’’, Danish importer and visionary, Sune Rosforth, will host a seminar titled "The Evolution of a Region for Natural Wine" and Spanish sommelier and oenologist Nuria Renomi will lead the wine corner: "Feeling Emotion in Wine from the Vineyard to the Glass".
