The Government of Georgia has officially endorsed the "State Program for the Promotion of Georgian Wine Products within the Local Market".
The program will be implemented by the LEPL State National Wine Agency and will commence accepting applications from April 22nd of this year.
The objective of the new program is to enhance the flexibility and transparency of the state's financial support mechanism for promoting wine production in the local market.
Within the scope of the program, Georgian wine festivals will be organized across Georgia, along with thematic exhibitions, competitions, and educational events. These activities will be financially supported.
The program offers a comprehensive overview of the financing and co-financing terms for exhibition-festival and competition-related event organizers. It includes detailed information on the corresponding remuneration amount and the list of required documents that must be submitted by legal entities applying for funding through the program.
It is worth noting that, thanks to the initiative and support of the National Wine Agency, a wide range of wine festivals, exhibitions, tastings, and competitions are organized throughout Georgia, in conjunction with international marketing campaigns. The objective of the aforementioned events is to enhance the popularity of Georgian wine and other wine products within the local market, foster the growth of the wine industry and wine tourism, and elevate the culture of wine consumption.
The application form for individuals interested in participating in the program will be made available on the official website of the National Wine Agency at www.wine.gov.ge on the program's commencement date.
