With the support of the National Wine Agency, a large-scale presentation of Georgian wine was held in China.
The international wine and food exhibition "The 108th China Food & Drinks Fair" was held in the city of Chengdu, in the People's Republic of China. With the financial and organizational support of the National Wine Agency, 21 Georgian wine producing companies participated in the exhibition.
In order to increase awareness and export of Georgian wine, it is very important to present such a large-scale showcase of Georgian wine in the country, which is one of Georgia's strategic markets. China is among the top five countries to which Georgian wine is exported.
During the three-day exhibition, representatives of Georgian wine companies held meetings with partners and potential importers.
The Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Georgia to the People's Republic of China, Paata Kalandadze, attended the exhibition.
As part of the exhibition, Master of Wine Cassidy Dart (China) presented various types of Georgian wine to the guests at a special stand.
The China Food & Drinks Fair has been held in China since 1955 and is one of the most important exhibitions, attracting thousands of wine producers and up to a million visitors from different countries around the world each year.
It should be noted that China is a prominent strategic market for Georgian wine, and a marketing campaign has been actively underway since 2013 to increase awareness and export. The National Wine Agency cooperates with the marketing company Meiburg Wine Media to implement the marketing campaign for Georgian wine in the Chinese market.
