A large-scale presentation of Georgian wine took place in Germany
With financial support from the National Wine Agency and organizational support from the "Georgian Wine" association, 28 Georgian wine producers participated in ProWein Dusseldorf. This event is one of the largest wine and alcoholic beverage exhibitions in the world, held in the German city of Dusseldorf.
During the three-day exhibition, wine professionals, representatives of the commercial sector, and thousands of guests had the opportunity to evaluate Georgian wine. This is of great importance for diversifying export markets and increasing sales.
As part of the exhibition organized by the National Wine Agency, four professional presentation-tastings of Georgian wine were held. These tastings took place at the stand of the prestigious German media holding "Meininger" under the theme "Georgia - the homeland of wine." Wine masters Janek Schumann and Konstantin Baum led these tastings. Additionally, the famous influencer and sommelier Toni Askitis hosted an event called "Georgian Wine Day."
"The exhibition in Dusseldorf is crucial not only for Germany but also for the global wine market. Professionals gather here, and companies have the opportunity to meet potential partners. Georgia has been participating in "ProWein Dusseldorf" for the 24th time. Diversifying markets is one of the main goals of the National Wine Agency. Germany is a strategic market for Georgian wine, and sales there are steadily increasing," said Levan Mekhuzla, Chairman of the National Wine Agency.
During the exhibition, Levan Mekhuzla held meetings with representatives of various marketing companies and media holdings, including Peter Schmitz, the director of the ProWein exhibition.
The exhibition was attended by the Consul General of Georgia in the Federal Republic of Germany, Giorgi Tabatadze.
The 30th anniversary "ProWein Dusseldorf" had about 5,400 wine producers from 65 countries participating.
