Promotion of Georgian wine on international markets will become more active in 2024

The state budget for the support of the Georgian wine promotion program in 2024 was set at 16 million GEL, which is 2 million GEL more than in 2023.
The priority markets for Georgian wine remain the USA, Great Britain, Germany, Poland, the Baltic states, China, South Korea and Japan, where the contractor companies of the National Wine Agency will implement various measures to support the promotion of Georgian wine and increase its export potential.
In addition, Georgian wine will be presented at all important international exhibitions and festivals of wine and alcoholic beverages in the United States of America, Europe and Asia.
Wine exhibitions, competitions, tours and festivals will be held throughout Georgia as well, which is important for increasing the potential of wine tourism and the culture of wine consumption among the local population.
In addition, out of 16 million GEL, 2 million GEL is provided for the "State Program for the Promotion of Georgian Wine", the goal of which is to increase the export potential, competitiveness and awareness of Georgian wine on international markets, diversify strategic and priority export markets. Co-financing of marketing costs will be implemented only for those companies that export to priority markets and to different countries of the world, except CIS countries, and at the same time meet other conditions defined by the program.
In 2023, Georgian wine was presented at 14 exhibitions, 20 festivals and 100 professional tastings in 15 countries of the world; These countries are: United States of America, Japan, Germany, France, Great Britain, Denmark, South Korea, China, Poland, Latvia, Netherlands, Switzerland, Iceland, Italy and Turkey. Wine exhibitions, competitions and festivals were also held in Georgia.
The US Agency for International Development (USAID) has been involved in the marketing campaign of Georgian wine since 2023, which is implementing various targeted measures in the strategic markets of Georgian wine in the direction of promoting Georgian wine.
