A visit of 14-person delegation from the People's Republic of China to Georgia was organized by the National Wine Agency and the Chinese Marketing Company
The delegation was led by Yuan LIU, vice president of the China National Association for Liquor and Spirits Circulation; the delegation included representatives of large wine and spirits import-export companies (Jilin Sifang Trading Co, Zhangjiakou Sugar and Wine Food Co, Liaoning Xinhong Yingmin Industrial Co, Henan Wine Convenience Commercial Co, Baofeng Baijiu Industry Sales LLC,aofeng Baijiu Industry Co), as well as representatives of China National Spirits Association and China Food and Fermentation Industry Research Institute.
The members of the delegation visited wine producing companies in Kartli and Kakheti, where they learned about both traditional and modern methods of wine making.
Georgian wine tasting - "Walkaround Tasting" was held for guests in Tbilisi, where various wines of 30 Georgian wine producing companies were presented..
The visit of the delegation was organized by the National Wine Agency and the Chinese marketing company "China National Association for Liquor and Spirits Circulation" within the framework of promotion of Georgian wine and facilitating the growth of export potential.
It should be noted that China is one of the prominent strategic markets for Georgian wine, where a marketing campaign has been actively implemented since 2013 in order to increase the popularity and export of Georgian wine.
During 2023, with the support of the National Wine Agency, Georgian wine producers participated in the largest exhibition in China “The 108th China Food&Drinks Fair"; A large-scale seminar/tasting of Georgian wine was held in Hong Kong; Georgian wine educational program-training was held, which was led by Master of Wine Debra Meiburg; Georgian wine was presented at the exhibition "China Food & Drinks Fair 109" held in the city of Shenchen.
Until the end of this year, Georgian wine companies will participate in the international exhibitions "CIIE China" and "Prowine Shanghai" in Shanghai, as well as in the "International Amber Wine Symposium" and the Georgian wine master class, Georgian wine will be presented at a tasting in Hainan province.
