204 thousand tons of grapes were processed in the Kakheti region, 350 enterprises were involved in processing the harvest. Up to 20 thousand tons of grapes damaged due to climatic conditions were processed by the state enterprise "Harvest Management Company" LLC. The total income from the sale of grapes reaches 247 million GEL in Kakheti region.
As for Racha, up to 1.7 thousand tons of grapes are processed in the region; The income of winegrowers reaches 11.6 million GEL. About 50 wine companies and wineries were involved in processing grape.
In order to stimulate private wine enterprises and winegrowers, as well as to fully allocate the harvest, the state harvest subsidy program was active in both regions: in case of Racha, all companies that purchased and processed at least 3 tons of Aleksandrouli and Mujuretuli grapes grown in the "Kvanchkara" microzone, and paid at least 7 GEL to the winegrower, receives the subsidy. State subsidy of 4 GEL is given to wine companies per 1 kg of Aleksandrouli and 1 kg of Mujuretuli.
In case of Kakheti, the state subsidy is received by the company that purchased and processed at least 100 tons of Rkatsiteli and/or Kakhuri Mtsvane grapes grown in the Kakheti region. In addition, per purchased 1 kg of grapes, it has paid at least 90 tetri to the person who delivered the grapes. In exchange for the purchase of grapes grown by vineyards in the Kakheti region, the subsidy given to companies amounts to - 20 tetri per 1 kg of Rkatsiteli and 1 kg of Kakhuri Mtsvane. Along with this, LLC "Harvest Management Company" LLC paid 0.90 GEL per 1 kilogram of grapes damaged due to climatic conditions.
