"Among Georgian wines, there is special interest in Kvevri wine" - German wine master
With the support of the National Wine Agency and the organization of the agency's contractor German marketing company "ff.k Public Relations", the German wine master Konstantin Baum visited Georgia and got acquainted with Georgian wine enterprises in Kakheti.
Konstantin Baum is the youngest master of wine in Germany and the owner of one of the most popular wine YouTube channels in the world (with 120,000 subscribers and over 6 million views). He has personally selected wines in his online store (baumselection.com).
Within the framework of the contract between the National Wine Agency and "ff.k Public Relations", it is planned to put selected Georgian wines on sale in the baumselection.com online store, as well as to create several 10-minute videos about Georgian wine, which will be posted in November on its YouTube channel (https://www.youtube.com/@KonstantinBaumMasterofWine).
"I am very fascinated by Georgia, because this country has a long history of winemaking and also a style that has existed for thousands of years. Now attention is paid to all these wines, however, there is a greater interest in Kvevari wine, as well as in local grape varieties Saperavi, Kisi. It is interesting for me to come here personally. I am looking forward to getting to know Georgia better as a country of winemaking and to share my impressions with my audience," said Konstantin Baum.
Germany is the largest importer and consumer of wine in Europe, which has emerged as one of the potentially growing strategic export markets for Georgian wine.
In order to diversify and increase awareness of Georgian wine markets, the National Wine Agency started cooperation with the German marketing company "ff.k Public Relations" in 2021 and continues this year with active events.
