Representatives of the local HoReCa sector, sommeliers and importers, a total of 50 guests attended the event supported by the National Wine Agency.
Kenichi Ohashi, the director of the marketing company "Red Bridge", a contractor of the National Wine Agency, and a well-known master of wine, led the two-hour presentation on the culture and modern industry of Georgian winemaking.
The guests had the opportunity to taste different types of Georgian wines. The guests of the event discussed the export potential of Georgian wines and the scale of production.
The goal of presenting Georgian wine was to promote sales growth and attract potential importers. The National Wine Agency has been cooperating with the "Red Bridge" company since 2017, and its activities include one of the strategic Georgian wine marketing events in the Japanese market.
The first large-scale presentation of Georgian wine in Japan was organized in 2014. In the following years, also with the support of the National Wine Agency, Georgian wine companies participated in the exhibitions "Foodex Japan" and "Wine and Gourmet Japan", local wine competitions. In 2019, a large-scale exhibition "Georgia - the Homeland of Wine" was held in Tokyo, the capital of Japan, which hosted thousands of visitors for 2 months.
