With the support of the National Wine Agency, 14 wine producers from Georgia were represented at the international exhibition of natural wines "RAW Wine" held in Copenhagen, the capital of Denmark. "RAW Wine" (The Artisan Wine Fair) is one of the outstanding exhibitions where producers of high-quality natural, organic and biodynamic wines gather. The organizer of the exhibition is Isabelle Legeron, a famous wine master from France.
"Georgian winemakers are doing great, their authority is growing stronger and stronger. They tell a story, the packaging is great, they travel a lot, they show their wine with pride. They are great, on a great path and more and more people should discover them. The quality of Georgian wine has increased significantly and I think now the wines are strong, sustainable, characteristic, have their own history, I think the Qvevri is a very magical vessel. The amazing thing is that Georgia is a very small country, but it is very diverse, with different species, mountainous vineyards, climate, in this small place there is everything that is amazing and the quality is excellent, the wines are more lasting, you can see the wines on all the best tables in the world", said Isabelle Legeron.
About 180 producers from different countries of the world participated in the exhibition "RAW Wine" (The Artisan Wine Fair) in 2023, including countries such as USA, France, Great Britain, Spain, Germany, Italy, Chile and others.
The visitors of the exhibition got introduced to Georgian wines and, at the same time, the ancient traditions and history of Georgian wine production, which is important for the promotion of Georgian wine and the diversification of markets. By presenting Georgian wine at such a prestigious international exhibition, the popularity of Georgian wine increases, which provides an opportunity to find potential importers and increase exports.
The Scandinavian market is considered one of the most important markets for the National Wine Agency due to the growing interest in Georgian wine. Accordingly, the agency has been carrying out important marketing activities for the mentioned market for several years.
