A tour of American wine professionals was carried out in Georgia with the support of the National Wine Agency.
Among the guests were journalists and marketers working on the topic of wine. The participants of the tour visited the Georgian wine producing companies in Kakheti and Kartli, where they learned about the history and traditions of Georgian wine making, and tasted Georgian wines made in the classical manner as well as in the traditional method.
The visit was organized by the American marketing company Colangelo & Partners, a contractor of the National Wine Agency.

The mentioned integrated program includes activities in the direction of trade development, participation in international exhibitions, working with wine writers and wine shops. We see an increased interest in Georgian wine in the USA, wine writers are writing more and more about Georgian wine, the American consumer is always looking for unique wine, wine tourism, and in this regard, Georgian wine is very interesting and unique for the USA," said Erin Hill, " representative of Colangelo & Partners.
Considering the possibility of finding potential importers and increasing exports, presenting Georgian wine to American professionals is especially important, as this country is one of the strategic export markets for Georgian wine, where, according to the data of 11 months of the current year, up to one million bottles of wine were exported, which is 2% more than the similar indicator of last year. The historical maximum of Georgian wine export to the United States of America was recorded in 2021, more than 1 million bottles of wine.
