Seven Georgian wine-producing companies took part in the international food and wine exhibition "Stockholm Food and Wine" in Stockholm, the capital of the Kingdom of Sweden: - "Vazis Kalami", "Matrobela Wines", "Vazisubani Estate", "Kartveli", "Qimerioni", "Mikheili’s Marani" and "Twins Wine House".
The visitors to "Stockholm Food and Wine" expressed a special interest in Georgian wine and the 8000-year history of its production.
The presentation of Georgian wine at the exhibition, where thousands of wine professionals traditionally gather, was carried out with the support of the Georgian Embassy in the Kingdom of Sweden and was particularly important for the promotion of Georgian wine in Scandinavian countries.
It should be noted that in 2022, as a result of the active work of the National Wine Agency, several important marketing activities were carried out in the Scandinavian countries, including a Georgian wine master class held in Stockholm, the capital of Sweden, meetings were held with the public communication group of Partner & CEO "Wine publishing AB", the largest wine and gastronomy company in Sweden with the organizers of the exhibition "Stockholm food and wine fair" and the representative of the Swedish alcohol control agency "Systembolaget".
The mentioned activities serve to diversify Georgian wine export markets, popularize Georgian wine on the Swedish wine market, and increase awareness of Georgian wine among local consumers and professionals.
It should be noted that 152,000 bottles of wine were exported from Georgia to Sweden this year, the increase compared to the same period last year was 56%.
